I don’t think the man’s an asshole. He knows what he’s doing, confident in himself and his success and sorry but sometimes need that kick in the ass that he provides to make them realize that they’re NOT acting like responsible adults. I think he’s great! and watch him every Sunday!!

Thanks for the kind words and your insight, Bobbie. You’re exactly right! Some people just need that extra kick to get them moving. It’s always a pleasure hearing from great fans!

I don’t believe John is an asshole. Tough, aggressive, no BS attitude…yes, but that’s what these business owners need. He can yell at a person for being a crap business owner and turn around with tears in his eyes when the owner finally gets his stuff together and sees the light. It’s tough love!

Big JT Is fantastic at what he does. He doesn’t tip toe around matters and gets straight to the point. Would love the show to come to the UK.
Would love to buy him a pint too.

I would rather work for a guy like Jon Taffer because he is upfront and direct. Working for a backstabbing behind the scenes weasel would be working for a true asshole.

Some people only listen when you pound it into their head. Since you can’t physically do it, you have to get their attention. If you have to be a prick to get the job done, so be it. They are in a mess because no one has had the guts to tell them the truth

As a fellow food and beverage industry consultant – albeit, not on TV – I can attest the need to be nothing but clear, direct and approach a failing situation without concern for hurting people’s feelings. John has exemplified this too many times to count and continues to inspire. Keep up the good work my man!

I would not call him an asshole. An asshole is a jerk with no reason. In John’s case, it is because he cares and expects more out of people. I enjoy the shows and I always feel motivated after watching Bare Rescue.

Jon Taffer is very assertive & many people don’t know what to do when someone tells them the truth. I love it when he tells them that HE is the expert in his field and if they want his help then they need to do what he says or he is leaving. Bar rescue rocks!

He’s a complete asshole. The worst managers are the ones who scream at workers and belittle and embarass them in front of others. That DOES NOT motivate people and make them want to work harder. He comes off as an arrogant prick trying to act like the big man.
